The challenge

The space came to us mid-build: a bare concrete slab with grinder scars, spot patches, and construction traffic still running through it. Wall protection, tape lines, and other trades on site meant the floor had to be prepped, coated, and cured around an active schedule.

Preparation & repair

  • Mechanical surface preparation of the existing slab
  • Spot patching and repair of gouges and transitions
  • Perimeter and column masking around adjacent trades

The system we installed

We prepared and repaired the slab, masked the perimeter and column bases, and installed a pigmented resinous coating in a uniform grey with a high-gloss finish so the whole floor reads as one surface under the building's open ceiling and even lighting.

The clips below are from the same project: a commercial tenant space that went from a rough, mid-construction slab to a finished, high-gloss resinous floor. We handle the preparation, repair, masking, and coating around the other trades so the floor is ready when the space is.

If you are fitting out retail or office space and need a durable, seamless floor on a construction schedule, request a written estimate or, for bid-stage work, send plans through our General Contractors page.

Before & after

Before and after our coating work, filmed on the same walk-through of the space.

Before — prepared and patched slab

A slow pan across an interior commercial space still under construction. The concrete slab is bare and grey with lighter patch marks, grinding scars, and construction dust. Sheet plastic masks the lower walls and blue tape runs along the wall base. Structural columns and a doorway are visible in the background.

After — finished resinous coating

A walk-through of the same space after coating. The floor is now a continuous, high-gloss grey resinous surface with no visible seams, mirroring the ceiling lights. Sage-green demising walls, red structural columns, and red doors frame the open area. The camera moves steadily down the length of the space.

The result

A seamless, easy-to-clean floor that reflects the overhead light and gives the finished space a clean, retail-ready base. The before and after clips below were filmed on the same walk-through of the space.
