Workmanship Warranty
Specialty Flooring Solutions LLC backs its installations with a written Limited Workmanship Warranty. The specific terms for your project are set out in your written proposal.
How We Stand Behind Our Work
Every SFS installation is backed by a written Limited Workmanship Warranty — up to 10 years on residential installations, up to 5 years on most commercial installations. If a defect traces back to how we prepared the slab or applied the system, we return and correct it: at no cost to you in the early years of your warranty, and at a declining, clearly stated credit in the later years. Your proposal states the exact term, the coverage schedule, and the scope for your project before work begins — that document, not this summary, is what governs.
Coverage differs by project type, because a residential garage, a retail floor, and a production floor face different demands, and because "Limited Warranty" always means specific years are covered in full and specific years are covered on a declining schedule — never an unlimited promise. We disclose that schedule up front, in writing, rather than in fine print.
What Our Workmanship Warranty Covers
- Delamination or coating failure caused by our surface preparation or application, not by the slab beneath it
- Improper cure or mixing on our part
- Installation defects inconsistent with the manufacturer's written application parameters
What It Does Not Cover
- Pre-existing or new cracking, movement, or moisture in the concrete itself
- Damage from impact, heavy equipment, chemicals not disclosed before installation, or use beyond the floor's intended purpose
- Normal wear — gloss change, minor color shift, and traffic patterning are expected over time and are not defects
- Work altered, repaired, or added to by anyone other than SFS after project completion
Manufacturer Warranties
Where the coating manufacturer offers its own product warranty, we will pass along that documentation and help you file a claim directly with them. That coverage — its term and conditions — is set by the manufacturer, not by SFS.
